Founded in 1968, the Société de la francophonie manitobaine (SFM) is the advocate for Manitoba’s Francophone community. We look after the community’s well-being and lobby for full respect of its rights. In close cooperation with our partners, we plan and facilitate the community’s overall development and work to promote the community.
Our mission is composed of 3 parts:
- Promote the full recognition and use of French in Manitoba
- Advocate all levels of government for the right to communicate and flourish in French
- Ensure the availability of a full range of services in French
